MEMBERSHIP TERMS AND DUTIES

  • The Sudanese American Women's Organization (SAWO) will be open to all women over 18 years of age, regardless of political, religious and ethnic orientation.
  • The member will have the right to be subject to the Organization in the Washington area, if this is not feasible, then membership can be completed after the Organization has set up branches in other States in the United States.
  • The member will be of Sudanese origin, nationality or Sudanese by/through marriage.
  • The member will be bound by the Constitution's clauses/articles and the Organization's provisions/regulations.
  • The member will be committed to pay the Organization monthly membership fees.
  • The member will be entitled to nominate, vote and stand for election for any of the positions of the Organization, and effectively join and work in any secretariat.
